The Evolutionary Ecology Journal Club is on this Wednesday (tomorrow) at 12pm in the Ecology Brain Storming Lab (level 3). Please note the change of time for this week. Putter will be leading the discussion with the paper “Lizard calls convey honest information on body size and bite performance: a role in predator deterrence?” (Baeckens et al., Behav. Ecol. Soc., 2019). What’s in a lizard’s scream? Come along tomorrow (at 12pm!) to discuss. Ecology Brain Storming Lab on Level 3 Robertson Building Wednesday 12-1pm

The Evolutionary Ecology Journal Club is on today at 2pm in the Ecology Brain Storming Lab (level 3). This week, Eve will be leading the discussion with the paper “On misinterpreting the phylogenetic correction” (Westoby et al., J. Ecol., 1995). This is a classic paper on phylogenetic correction that has since spawned a lot of discussion – both for and against the ideas put forward here. If you do, or are considering ever doing, a comparative analysis or meta-analysis please come along – hoping to generate some interesting discussion! The Evolutionary Ecology Journal Club is happening today at 2pm in the Ecology Brain Storming Lab (level 3). Cassandra will be leading the discussion on “Memory performance influences male reproductive success in a wild bird” (Shaw et al., Cur. Biol., 2019). Does remembering stuff make you a better parent? Maybe if you’re a robin. Come along to discuss.
